Attempt to capture a moment (sometimes called nostalgia) (2008).
In this series I have juxtaposed different film materials (photograph film and super8 film) and techniques (some photographs are made with long exposure times - as long as a length of a super8 film’s three minutes). With this gesture I have tried to approach the possibilities of moving image and lens-based performance to work out as a still life image.
Attempt to capture a moment (sometimes called nostalgia) is an attempt to capture the time passing by, and to seize a nostalgic moment. It as an attempt to express a longing for something where the words won’t reach out – an attempt to tell a story and perform an atmosphere with the pictures.
